Waterdeep.. and Beyond!
- The Heroes of the Vault
Adventure Update
Our heroes, Jollux, Dathomyr and Izaac band together and accept an invite from Bregan D'earthe, traversing once again into the sewers of Waterdeep. The first drow Fighters encountered did not seem very welcoming, attacking immediately, while another drow simply sat still on the floor, apparently lost in prayer. Finally, after an unexpected battle with a Door Mimic, the trio descends deeper into the murky and mucky sewers, to reveal a gruesome torture chamber, complete with captives as well as the massive and masked torturer himself!
Battle ensues, and more Drow join the fray, including a skilled caster!
Suddenly two gigantic tentacles emerge from the sewer filth as the party is harassed by a sewer beast of unkown size!
All foes defeated, the party progresses into a long sewer corridor, until eventually being trapped when two portcullis fall into place!
The piles of gold all around have clearly been recently plundered, presumably from the Vault of Dragons! Sure enough, Jarlaxle Baenre appears to confirm suspicions, accompanied by none other than Harkness, the Characters' so-called ally.
The villains depart, and eventually our party works their way out of the locked coridor and back to the fresh air above.
High fantasy adventure on the Sword Coast!

Harkness, the Half-elf Swashbuckler
Harkness, known by his friends as Hawk, was born amidst great family drama and political despair, as is often the case among half-breeds. Born of a Wood-elf mother, Harkness is the Bastard son of Lord Sebastion Blake of Raven's Bluff. He is half-brother to Sebastion the III. The truth of his heritage is known to few.
Harkness was taken from his wooded homeland at age six, to be raised in Dagger Keep by the royal attending staff, under his father's watchful eye. A mere six years later, he ran from home, never content with castle life, and stole passage aboard a ship headed to the unknown. He possessed but a dagger belonged to his father, the royal linens on his back, which he traded for common traveler's apparel, and a sack containing eleven silver crowns.
He survived the three-week trip, hiding in the lower decks and eating barrel wood mostly, and mice, to arrive at the sea capital of Yartar, on the Sword Coast of Fae-run. Six more years in this unforgiving city has turned Harkness into one rugged, lucky and stubborn son of a bitch! And his walk matches his talk..
I live in the Midwest United States and have been an avid gamer from a very early age. Board games led to card games led to adventure games and eventually to video games.. One day I discovered role-playing games (The Legend of Zelda, Basic Edition Dungeons & Dragons, Final Fantasy and more) and the rest is, as we say, history.
Fast-forward 30+ years, now I enjoy collecting, painting, crafting and 3-d printing miniatures and terrain for use with (mostly) fantasy roleplaying games. I have thousands of miniatures, from tiny to gargantuan, and a modest-sized closet full of 3d terrain. I love creating immersive and strategic 3-d tabletop experiences for my players, whether in-person or online.
